Sometimes I even measure an existing frame with a ruler before ordering anything new. In the end there is no perfect shop, but some stores are clearly more consistent. Many people do not mind waiting if they understand what is going on. Shipping speed is not everything, but extremely slow delivery is very annoying.

If anyone is interested in real user experiences, I sometimes write short notes about the shops I test.

Good stitching usually means the item will not fall apart after one or two washes. On the other hand, a well made pair of glasses can last a long time and feel comfortable all day. Having a tracking number that works on common sites is very convenient. I think it is better to build a small collection of reliable products than to buy random cheap things. Clear product descriptions save time and reduce the chance of disappointment. The main things I look at for glasses are frame weight, hinge quality and lens coating. I also pay attention to return policy and customer service response time. When a store shows clear shoulder width, bust, waist and length, it is much easier to choose.

Maybe this is useful for someone.
