My short review of an online shop

Jewelry is another category where quality can be very different from photos. Some pieces look shiny online but feel like plastic when you open the package. Loose hinges make the glasses slide down the nose again and again. Online shopping will always have a bit of risk, but experience makes it easier.

Sometimes I even measure an existing frame with a ruler before ordering anything new. I do not trust only the star rating, I like to see detailed photos and longer comments. I also check if the lenses have any blue light filter or anti-reflection coating. It is always difficult to know which website is really trustworthy before you place an order. Footwear is even harder because different brands cut shoes very differently. Each material has advantages and disadvantages depending on season and activity. If they reply politely and give detailed answers, I feel more relaxed. Forums, blogs and communities create a kind of collective memory for shoppers.
